Novelty is a city in Knox County, Missouri, United States. The population was 119 at the 2000 census.

Novelty is located at 40°0′44″N, 92°12′27″W (40.012209, -92.207594)^GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²), all land.

As of the census^GR2 of 2000, there were 119 people, 57 households, and 38 families residing in the city. The population density was 164.1/km² (430.2/mi²). There were 66 housing units at an average density of 91.0/km² (238.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 57 households out of which 15.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.1% were married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.09 and the average family size was 2.53.

In the city the population was spread out with 11.8% under the age of 18, 11.8% from 18 to 24, 22.7% from 25 to 44, 31.1% from 45 to 64, and 22.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 88.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.4 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $29,583, and the median income for a family was $37,083. Males had a median income of $25,417 versus $20,833 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,046. There were no families and 9.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 29.6% of those over 64.
