Nova Makedonija (New Macedonia, Macedonian: Нова Македонија) is the oldest daily newspaper in the Republic of Macedonia. It was established with decision of the presidium of ASNOM and remained a state owned newspaper, promoting the government line. The first edition was in 1944, in Gorno Vranovci, and contitutes the first document written in the literary standard Macedonian language. It's former owner A.D. "Nova Makedonija", a government owned company, was liquidated in 2003. But the newspaper "Nova Makedonija" has survived. Since December 2003 it is 100% owned by Mr. Zoran Nikolov and his IT company ZONIK from Skopje, Macedonia.
