This image is of a film poster, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the film or the studio which produced the film in question. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of film posters

qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Fair use for more information.

[edit] Rationale of fair use for November (film)
The image Image:November film poster 2.jpg is being linked here; though the picture is originally copyright, I (Extraordinary Machine 00:00, 27 October 2005 (UTC)) feel it is covered by fair use because:
- No free or public domain images have been located for this film.
- The image is of lower resolution than the original poster (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).
- The image does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the film in any way.
- For an article about a film, the promotional artwork is arguably one of the most important images that could be included. This is the artwork, intended by Sony Pictures Classics for wide distribution. As such, it has future historical significance, and is a more appropriate choice than any other image available.
- Its inclusion in the article is important because it suggests something of the film's style. It also represents a significant part of the film's promotion that is overviewed in the article, and accompanies mentions of film festivals that are made in the article.
- This image is used on various websites, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is. The poster is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original film in any way.
