[edit] Your request for deletion

At Talk:Geoffrey Giuliano, you've stated that you're Giuliano and that you want the article removed if you can't have your self-congratulatory and unreferenced version included. I'm sorry, but that's not the way this encyclopedia works. You do not have the right to prevent us from reporting publicly available facts about your life. Point us to reliable sources for additions or corrections, and the article can be changed. Continue to rant at us, and you'll accomplish nothing.

By the way, every time I try to visit your website, to see if there are any useful links there, it crashes my browser. The easiest thing would be for you to post to Talk:Geoffrey Giuliano with your suggestions and supporting links or other references. (You shouldn't edit the article yourself.) [edit] Truth or nothing

I agree that Wikipedia should consist of either truth, or nothing. It would be very useful for you to understand precisely how truth is evaluated in Wikipedia's system. Statements need to be properly sourced and cited, and not contain original research. In other words, we're not going to allow anyone to just come along and say "hey! I'm Geoffrey Giuliano! I wear pink shoes." Who is to say that is true or not? How are we supposed to know if we should just believe it? If there are reliable sources backing up those claims that are embedded into the statements, it is much more legitimate. V-Man737 06:31, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Dear Notinsane, if you are interested in contributing to the Wikipedia, why don't you take a moment to read its policies and conform to it? Though WP is open to everybody desires to edit it, this does not mean that there are not rules and guidelines to follow. One cannot write just anything. Everything one writes must be sourced, fact by fact. So if you want to write that, say, George Washington loved apple pie, you are welcome to do so, but you must cite a reliable book, journal or website saying so, and not just your personal experience or opinion. Good places to start are the pages about sourcing and citing that V-Man 737 mentions here in the previous remark. Greetings, Goochelaar 19:05, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR

I have reported you in violation of the 3 revert rule at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR#Violations. Please take in what the policies and guidelines are in order to properly contribute to Wikipedia. Simply clamoring for your way is seen more as harmful than it would be crusading for truth. V-Man737 02:27, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Once

This is your last warning. The next time you delete or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Geoffrey Giuliano, you will be blocked. --Goochelaar 08:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia style

With regard to your comments on Talk:Geoffrey Giuliano:

  1. When you post to a Talk page, please end your comment with four tildes: ~~~~. This will automatically sign and time-stamp your comment, making it easier to follow the discussion.
  2. When your post is responding to someone else's comment, place your post under what you're answering, and precede your post with a colon. This indents it, to signal the flow of the conversation. If what you're answering is already indented, precede your comment by one more colon than what you're answering, so as to indent it further. See Wikipedia:Talk page#Formatting for elaboration.
  3. Please stop using all caps. If you want to emphasize a particular word or phrase, precede and follow it by two apostrophes for italics or three apostrophes for boldface.

People will pay more attention to the substantive points you make if you adhere to the established style. JamesMLane t c 00:13, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
