[edit] John Allen's connection to the school?

Does anyone know Catholic journalist John Allen's connection to Notre Dame High School?

He mentioned NDHS in one of his book introductions -- I think he thanked the journalism department or something like that. From his phrasing, it sounded as if he had been a student there in the 1990's. But I think that's impossible -- he's almost certainly older than that. So I was wondering if maybe he was on the faculty there?

He is now world-renowned as a journalist who covers the Catholic church, so I thought his connection to NDHS should be mentioned on the Notre Dame High School page and on the John L. Allen, Jr. page. - Lawrence King 05:21, 31 January 2006 (UTC) (an alumnus of Crespi!)

He was the journalism teacher (and I believe an English teacher) there for several years during the 1990s. He was also a vice principal for a time. I was a student there during the period. Interesting guy.
