Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is a wildlife trust covering the county of Nottinghamshire, England. Its headquarters are in The Old Ragged School, an historic old school house in Sneinton Marketplace. Built in 1859, this building had been allowed to fall into dereliction until the Trust resurrected it in 1998.
Amongst other things it is responsible for Attenborough Gravel Pits Nature Reserve, an important site in Nottinghamshire for birdwatching. A large gravel pit complex - lakes, river, woodland, meadow, etc. - it has been the temporary home for some of Nottingham's best rare birds.
