Notre Dame students come primarily from the Chattanooga Metropolitan area, but many students commute from North Georgia, Cleveland, or other locations.
In 2005, the Irish had an undefeated regular season in football, the first such season since the 1930s. However, the team lost in the State Semifinals, to eventual state champion Livingston Academy.
