"Not-So-Great Great Great Grandpa" is episode #2.42 of the television show Phil of the Future.
Phil meets a new kid at school (Kyle Speckle). That same night at dinner time, he's telling his family about him. Barb says that he has the same last name as her maiden name. She then realises that he's actually Phil's great-great grandpa. The next day at school he tells Keely during lunch. Kyle almost gets expelled until Phil stops him. That night when Phil is at home, Barb is reading something about that Kyle was supposed to get expelled, so he gets sent to a military academy and meets a lady named Petunia. The next day, Phil, Keely, and Pim come up with a plan to get Kyle expelled. He does, gets sent to military school, and he comes to the Diffy house with a different lady. Barb tells him to go out with Petunia, so the Diffy's are still alive.
[edit] Trivia
- When Phil and Keely ask Pim for help, she is acting out the famous scene from The Godfather. She even talks like Marlon Brando's character Don.
- The moment Phil steps in to take the blame over Kyle's (his great-grandfather) misfortune, he altered history by preventing Kyle from meeting his future wife at military school. This was very similar to the 1985 film, Back to the Future, where Marty McFly travels to 1955 and does the same; although he prevented his teenage dad from meeting his teenage mom. In other words, both scenarios involve a "ripple effect" inflicted upon them.
