Article listed on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion Apr 27 to May 3 2004, consensus was not reached. Discussion:

  • Delete. Just another school. Getting a bomb threat doesn't make it notable. —Frecklefoot 20:07, Apr 27, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. It already boasts an impressive amount of detail. Everyking 20:46, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • The detail is little more than a short history of the school. It doesn't mention why it is notable (which it isn't). I could write a very detailed autobiography, but it still wouldn't make me notable. Until the school is more than locally notable, it should be deleted. —Frecklefoot 20:53, Apr 27, 2004 (UTC)
  • Frecklefoot makes a good point. Stop this school madness! Delete. Exploding Boy 22:23, Apr 27, 2004 (UTC)
    • Delete. IMO, there should be a de facto delete policy on local schools until some consensus is reached as to what to do with entries like this. They are of no particular note outside of their respective communities. I'm a minor celebrity in my area given the nature of my work, but a Wikipedia autobiography is totally unwarranted per Frecklefoot's comment and the worldwide reach of Wikipedia itself. - Lucky 6.9 23:10, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • Can anyone tell me why local history is unimportant or less important than . . . global history? (perhaps that's what you're getting at as being more relevant?) Really, is there anyway you can justify this silliness?

The point isn't that the school got a bomb threat, or anything like that. It's that it is part of a larger community which constitutes the province of Ontario along with dozens of other communities. You know, its not just "world historians" or pseudo-intellectual gatherers of useless information who use this encyclopedia. That information is important to a number of Canadians who would be interested in the history of their country, provinces, communities, families, etc. . . . clearly you can't understand that. Coincidently, I had planned on linking this page to the Paris, Ontario page, with the greater intention of improving on that page as a whole, but I'm sure that's all local gibberish, isn't it?

  • Keep. Seems to be a decent article. Guanaco 02:43, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, see Template:VfD-Trinityanglicanschool for reasons and discussion. -- Tim Starling 04:34, Apr 28, 2004 (UTC)
  • By the way, I say Keep on this one  : ) (didn't mention above) --Phil Larin 05:07, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Disk space is cheap. TB 14:26, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Disk space is cheap, and more importantly, local history is important to local people. If the article is well written, it works as an article of a local institution. -- user:zanimum
  • Keep. Local history valid. Kd4ttc 21:20, 1 May 2004 (UTC)
