It's confusing, but according to the wired article, the currency bills are themselves in increments of pi. So, like I have a 20-dollar bill in my pocket, I could have a pi-dumpling bill. It's hard to express... --DDG 21:15, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

From what I know from a biography it is mostly just to have fun the currency is like here here is a check saying i'll give you one gallon of ice cream. it has no real value whatsoever
