[edit] References

Why is a miniseries being cited as a reference??? In reporting facts, unless they're documenteries movies should not be cited. --† Ðy§ep§ion † Speak your mind 15:58, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I agree. I'm simply providing the source to the quote. Practically all of this information is taken from the miniseries anyway, in comparison to the book. --Scottie theNerd 03:32, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Why are there no other references? It looks like someone wrote this article based just on the TV show.

I imagine the original article was based purely off the film. However, other than the Band of Brothers book, there aren't any other sources for Lt. Dike other than Winters's memoirs. --Scottie theNerd 07:22, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Basic biographical info missing

... like date and place of birth, and if he's not still alive, date of death. Who were his parents? siblings? When and where did he receive his officer's commission?

I'm not interested enough in the guy to go digging for the info myself. Unless someone else is, I suggest someone nominate this page for deletion.

I agree. He wasn't fictional. Where was he born? What else did he do? What happend to him after WW2?
