Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges

The Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges commonly called the NWAACC (pronounced N-Wack)is a sports association for Community Colleges in the states Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.

It was formed originally as the Washington Athletic Association of Community Colleges in 1964 which was previously the Washington State Junior College Athletic Conference (an eventual NJCAA conference) formed in 1946 with. The WAACC changed its name in 1970 upon the admission of Mount Hood Community College and eventually merged with the Oregon Community College Athletic Association. The Conference is not associated with the NJCAA but does acknowledge its wrestling participants on its website and with 36 members it is the largest community college conference in the United States.
