During the presentation of the award, Columbia Records recording artists, The Jonas Brothers, performed live for the audience. It is home to Students for 60,000, a club formed in 1987 to aid the homeless, which has since grown into a group devoted to any charitable cause. The group takes a trip to Nicaragua twice a year to help its people in need. Its athletic teams are known as the Tigers and Lady Tigers.
