Northlands

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Northlands was founded in 1879, before the official incorporation of the city of Edmonton and the province of Alberta.

Northlands is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization, which contributes to its community through the reinvestment of its revenues in the events and facilities it maintains for Edmontonians and the residents of north/central Alberta. Northlands attracts over 3.5 million visitors every year to some 2500 events, including Canadian Finals Rodeo, Farmfair International, Capital EX, headliner concerts, international events, trade shows, Edmonton Oilers hockey, live horse racing and slot machines.
