The Northern Storm are a franchise in the Bartercard Cup rugby league competition. They represent Northland. They are based in Whangarei
New Zealand Warriors associated with the club include Todd Byrne & Grant Rovelli.

In their debut season in 2006 the club performed poorly, managing only two wins and two draws from eighteen matches. They finished in last position on the table, collecting the Wooden Spoon.
A bright point of the season was that fullback Brendon Hikaka, centre Mason Pure and hooker Linton Price were all selected for the Junior Kiwis [1].

The 2007 Bartercard Cup is scheduled to kick off on April 14.[2] 2006 Head Coach Geoff Morton has moved South to join the Counties Manukau Jetz and will be replaced by Phil Marsh.
