Northern Region, Malawi

The Northern Region of Malawi, population 1,389,475 (2003), covers an area of 26,931 km2. Its capital city is Mzuzu.
Of the 27 districts in Malawi, 6 of them are located within the Northern Region. They are: Chitipa, Karonga, Likoma, Mzimba, Nkhata Bay, and Rumphi.
