[edit] History

Polaris, Joe and Hawk founded the group on January 12 of 2001 with the firm intention to attend Assembly demoparty in the coming summer and make a demo for it. They did go to the party but had not finished their demo. In the following years, and to this day, they have continued to release productions for Assembly each year, mostly in the 4K intro category.

In 2003, key members cerror and BarZoule joined the group. The two have been involved in the most successful productions and have helped boost the total number of ND releases. Being one of the few active graphicians, BarZoule has contributed to nearly every production since he joined the group.
Also in this year, Guybrush joined, bringing embedded firmware experience, which has resulted in a number of portable game platform productions, including a GBA (Game Boy Advance) music disk "Rock Your Tits Off", slide show "Pilgrimage GBA Slideshow", and a PSP musicdisk "Gigertron", notable for winning the wild gategory at Pilgrimage in 2005, and for being the first PSP production to be released at any demoparty.
In 2004 Blacklight joined the group to become the official tool wizard, greatly easing demo development, leading to the winning demo "nd-001: Eurotrash".

Assembly coding guru sTec quit the group in 2004 to start Trailer Park Demos along with Tom. PatrickGroove left shortly after to concentrate on non-demoscene activities, putting and end to scenezine at the same time.

Having a fairly unbalanced coder:artist ratio, ND specialises in 4K intros. Founder Polaris, along with tonic, started IN4K, which has become the central resource about creation of 4 KB intros.
