Northeastern Bible College

Northeastern Bible College is a now closed Christian school. It was founded by Charles W. Anderson and first opened in September, 1950, as Brookdale Bible School, at the Brookdale Church in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The college relocated to a campus in Essex Fells in the fall of 1952. The name was changed in 1964 to Northeastern Collegiate Bible Institute, and finally in 1973 to Northeastern Bible College.

In 1974, the college was granted full accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, but the schoolclosed in 1990 due to financial difficulties and low enrollment. Many students and some of the faculty subsequently transferred to The King's College, in Briarcliff Manor, New York. There are about 2,000 alumni from Northeastern Bible College, 70% of whom are engaged in full-time Christian service.
