The Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (or NEMAA) is an organization of artists and allies based in Northeast Minneapolis, the part of the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota across the Mississippi River from downtown. Focused on the visual arts, it also seeks to encourage the growth of the arts in general in Northeast. Its most visible side is the annual "Art-a-whirl" open studio weekend in mid-May, when hundrends of artists open their workspaces to the public. NEMAA also sponsors the Fall Fine Arts Show as a way of promoting NEMAA members in the holiday season.
NEMAA was instrumental in establishing the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District in 2003, the first such officially designated district in the city.
