Northampton Town Football League
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Northampton Town Football League is a football competition based around Northampton in England. It is at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System. It has two divisions, headed by the Northampton Town Football League Premier Division. The top club in the Premier Division can apply for promotion to the United Counties Football League Division One.
In the 2005-06 season, University College Northampton won the Premier Division title and Airflow Reserves won Division One, although they were unable to be promoted as their first team already plays in the Premier Division and the league does not permit two teams from the same club to play in the same division. Peter Smith Recruitment is currently the sponsor of the league.
