North Weald is a village located between Chipping Ongar and Epping, in the Epping Forest district of Essex, England.
The village is also known as North Weald Bassett and is the location of North Weald Station which was a part of the London Underground Railway network between 1957, when electric tram style trains replaced the steam trains, and 1994, when the line was closed.
To the east of North Weald can be found the first organic farm in Essex.
