North Thurston Public Schools

North Thurston Public Schools, District No. 3 provides educational services for the area around Lacey and parts of rural Thurston County, Washington, including students from the Nisqually Tribe Reservation.
It is the largest school district in the county with 19 schools, more than 13,000 students and 1,600 employees as of 2006. Enrollment is forecast to increase to 20,000 students by 2021. Currently it is ranked 23rd in size among Washington school districts. The district superintendent is Dr. Jim Koval.
As of 2005 the district is planning changes to the school food programs.
