North Ryde railway station is located in the suburb of North Ryde, Sydney underneath Delhi Road. The station is underground and is under construction. When the line is opened in 2008, the station will be served by 4 trains per hour for most of the day, with trains starting from Hornsby and joining a truncated Northern line at North Sydney.
On June 12, 2006, New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma announced that North Ryde Railway Station would be submitted to the NSW Geographical Names Board as the provisional official name of the station, instead of the original provisional name of Delhi Road (named after the adjacent street). The naming process will be subject to public submissions.[1]
