North Hykeham is a small town to the south of Lincoln, in the county of Lincolnshire, England. It comprises 4,915 dwellings.

It is in the district of North Kesteven and has its own local town council. It falls within the Sleaford and North Hykeham parliamentary constituency. The MP for Sleaford and North Hykeham is Douglas Hogg who has been MP since 1997.

North Hykeham boasts two comprehensive schools: North Kesteven School (specialising in performing arts) and Robert Pattinson School on Moor Lane. The only grammar schools in North Kesteven are in distant Sleaford. It also has three primary schools: Ling Moor, Fosse Way and All Saints. It has five public houses, the Fox and Hounds and the Centurion on Newark Road and the Harrows, the Plough and the Lincoln Green on Lincoln Road. It has three churches, two Anglican and one Methodist. St Hugh's is an Anglican church on Harewood Crescent built in the 1960s in one of the housing estates. The other Anglican church is All Saints on the corner of Moor Lane opposite the Harrows public house, and is much older. The Methodist chapel is situated on Chapel Lane.

Newark Road is built directly on top of the old Roman road, otherwise known as Fosse Way; it has been numbered as the A1434 road, though until December 1985 it was the A46. North of the road is Hykeham railway station on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line. Much of Hykeham has been built up during the middle of the twentieth century but there has been evidence of settlement there since Roman times. This is noted in the name of the shopping plaza built in the 1960s called The Forum.

North Hykeham has five parks, one being Glebe Park which is situated at the back of the Lincoln Green public house, Fen Lane Park which is situated on Fen Lane, "The Green" Park which is on the old village green, The Memorial Hall park which is part of the Memorial Hall sporting facilities, and St Aidan's park which also contains an old orchard.

The Lindum Group have a large site on Station Road which is home to the several businesses comprising the Lindum Group and a number of other businesses, some of which are closely associated with the group. ASC Metals make metal sheets and tubes. There are many engineering companies on Freeman Road, near the train station, including Siemens (former Alstom Power). There was a large foundry called Lincoln Castings on Station Road which closed in February 2007; the last owners were the Meade Corporation of Malmesbury.
