North Gaza Governorate

The North Gaza Governorate is one of a number of Governorates of the West Bank and Gaza Strip within the Palestinian Territories. As its name suggests, it covers the north end of the Gaza Strip, north of Gaza City. It includes the Jabalia refugee camp.

In 1997 its population was 179690.

It has five seats in the Palestinian Legislative Council, in 2006 they were all won by members of Hamas.
