The 2012 U.S. Senate election for the state of North Dakota is scheduled to take place on November 6, 2012. The incumbent, Dem-NPL Senator Kent Conrad, will likely seek re-election to a fifth term.

No Republicans have announced their candidacy as of November 2006; no such announcement could be reasonably expected until 2010. Popular state officeholders John Hoeven and Wayne Stenehjem, who have had very high approval ratings in their terms, could be strong candidates.
