NC 200 is a North Carolina state maintained north-south highway beginning in the north at US Hwy 601 just north of Midland, NC in Cabarrus County and ending at the South Carolina border near Pageland, SC. From its beginning at U.S. 601, NC 200 runs east into Stanly County passing very close to Reed Gold Mine at the county line. From the town of Locust, NC it then turns south through Stanfield, NC and crosses the Rocky River into Union County. It passes through Monroe, NC and ends at the SC border to the south.

NC 200 maintains its number after crossing into South Carolina. After crossing into Chesterfield County just north of Pageland, the road runs southwest to Winnsboro, SC.
