North Cairns Australian Football Club Is located at Watsons oval in the Cairns Northern suberbs. The club known as the tigers was founded in 1956 and is one of the original members of the cairns league. The club featured in national news in 2004 when all players were suspended some for several years for a brawl that took place in the grand final following the national anthem and the fight had to be controled by police invading the field. Norths won the game by over 100 points but were disqualified in the coming weeks.
