North Augusta, Ontario

North Augusta is a community of approximately 1000 residents in Ontario, Canada. It is located roughly 12 miles west of the city of Brockville, in the Township of Augusta. North Augusta is very accessible and to nearby towns and cities, being approximately 10 to 15 minutes from Brockville and 15 to 20 minutes from Prescott.

The community is served by Finucan's General Store/Gas Station, and a Video/Convenience Store, plus Frank's Restaurant/Bar, Foley's auto wrecker, and seasonal chip stand. There are also many other small business ventures located within the area. North Augusta also has a volunteer fire department, and a community hall which holds council meetings, small concerts and other community functions and a beautiful place to call home. North Augusta's Labour Day event is well attended every year by people close and far. It's also the original home of the Bellamy Grist Mill which is now located at Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario, Canada. Please check the Upper Canada Village web site for more information. The population of North Augusta is approx. 500 and it's location is 15 miles North/East of Brockville or 10 miles North of Maitland on County Road 15.

School options are very flexible, being given the choice to attend Algonquin or Maynard for public school, or one of the many high schools, located throughout Prescott and Brockville. These include South Grenville District High School, Thousands Islands Secondary School, St. Mary Catholic High School, and Brockville Collegiate Institute.

The village contains a soccer field as well as a baseball diamond, with soccer and baseball leagues running throughout the summer. One of the biggest attractions for North Augusta is its Labour Day Festival. Many festivities take place over the three-day weekend such as a parade, baseball tournaments and many other small attractions and games.
