North is a 2003 album by Elvis Costello. It reached 44 in the UK album charts, 57 in the US charts and No. 1 in the US Traditional Jazz charts.
Coming after the return-to-form rock'n'roll of "When I Was Cruel," "North" is an intimate album of ballads, reportedly inspired by Costello's relationship with Diana Krall. Although the album received mixed reviews and lacks the immediate appeal of Costello's best known recordings, several of its songs are of note, including "Fallen," "I'm in the Mood Again" and the title cut.
