In 1996, Normanhurst came under the ownership of Nicholas Hagger and the Oak-Tree Schools Group. There are just over 200 pupils of boys and girls, aged between 2 and 16. The motto is Today's Child is Tomorrow's Future. Class sizes are usually little more than a dozen pupils.

There are three houses for the senior school: Luther, Churchill and Nightingale. The junior school has retained the more traditional houses of Hainault and Waltham.
