Lac Saint-Jean in Quebec, Canada. It has a population of 3,000 and is the administrative center of Maria-Chapdelaine Regional County Municipality which includes the towns of Albanel, Saint-Thomas-Didyme, St-Edmond-les-plaines and Girardville.
Normandin is a city located on the west side ofNormandin is name after the surveyor Joseph-Laurent Normandin. Its history goes back to 1878 when the first settlers arrived. Alphonse Laliberté was elected as Normandin's first mayor in 1890. In 1926, the village was set up as a municipality distinct from the county and notary J.S.N. Turcotte occupied the function of first magistrate.
It's the birthplace of André Dédé Fortin, former lead singer of Les Colocs, and TV reporter Michel Laprise.
