Norman Holter

Norman J. Holter (February 1, 1914, Helena, Montana1983) was an American biophysicist who invented the Holter monitor, a portable device for continuously monitoring the electrical activity of the heart for 24 hours or more. Stating in radiotelemetry and research towards EEG, he later switched to the ECG recording, working together with with Joseph A Gengerelli
