Norm Larsen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Norm Larsen is an industrial chemist whose most famous invention is WD-40. He created this by attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion - a task which is done by displacing water. Norm's persistence paid off when he perfected the formula on his 40th try, hence the product name WD-40. He worked before in the Rocket Chemical Company, in San Diego California. Then he decided to work with Convair a division of General Dynamics.
