Norm Bulaich (Bulajić in Serbian) was affectionately known to his teammates as "Boo." Norm was born on December 25, 1946 (coincidentally, the same birthday as the man he replaced at fullback for the Miami Dolphins--Larry Csonka) in Galveston, Texas. Upon completing his schooling at Texas Christian University, Bulaich was drafted 18th overall by the Baltimore Colts in the 1970 NFL Draft.
During Super Bowl V, it was an interception by Mike Curtis that put Baltimore within field goal range (25 yard line) with only a few seconds remaining. Kicker Jim O'Brien eventually connected as the Colts defeated the Dallas Cowboys 16-13.
The 6'1" 217 pound Running Back/Fullback held the Colts single-game rushing record - with 198 yards against the New York Jets in 1971 - up until the 2000 season (Edgerrin James - 219 yards). Later that season, Bulaich was named to the AFC Pro Bowl squad.
In 120 career games with the Baltimore Colts (1970-72), Philadelphia Eagles (1973-74) and Miami Dolphins (1975-79), Bulaich rushed for 3,362 yards and 30 TD's with a 4.1 AVG. He also made 224 receptions for 1,766 yards and had 11 TD's.
Norm Bulaich currently works for a waste management company in Hurst, Texas.
