Norfolkline

Norfolkline (previously Norfolk Lijn and Norfolk Line) is a ro-ro ferry and container ship operator based in the Netherlands. The company is a subsidiary of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group.

- 1961 - Founded as Norfolk Lijn N.V.
- 1973 - Original owner Remeeus sells Norfolk Lijn to Unilever.
- 1974 - Renamed Norfolk Line.
- 1985 - The Maersk Company Ltd, subsidiary of A.P. Møller acquires Norfolk Line.
- 1995 - Norfolk Line merges with rail transport specialist Skandi.
- 1997 - Rotterdam (Holland) to Waterford (Ireland) container route opened.
- 1998 - Current Norfolkline name adopted.
- 2000 - New Dover (UK) to Dunkerque (France) ferry route started.;
- 2005 - Acquires Norse Merchant Ferries, a ro-ro ferry operator on Irish Sea routes
- 2006 - Building a new RORO terminal in Vlaardingen (Rotterdam).
