The Norfolk General Hospital is a general hospital in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada that is considered to be the "Medical Magnetic North" of Norfolk County. Thanks to universal health care, hospital care is free and affordable for everyone. There is a mix of specialized doctors that reside within the halls. Nearby in the same building, there is also a nursing home for the elderly and the severely handicapped. Recently, the emergency room has been expanded and CAT scan equipment has been installed. There are no other general hospitals in Norfolk County except this one.
[edit] Norfolk General Hospital Foundation
The hospital has a foundation which helps to fund its capital acquisitions and various programs within the hospital. Without the foundation, the hospital would be in dire financial crisis. The hospital also owns several homes nearby and is located near the Simcoe water tower.
