Nordman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nordman is a Swedish band that mixes folk music with rock and pop. This genre is called ethnopop.
The group is formed by Håkan Hemlin as singer and band leader and Mats Wester who plays the keyharp and also writes songs.
The group's biggest hits were Förlist (Castaway) in spring 1994 and Vandraren (The Wanderer). The group split up in 1998 because of the lead singer's drug abuse problems, but reunited in 2004 when he managed to rehabilitate and resume work. They had a comeback at the Swedish Melodifestivalen and released a comeback album called Anno 2005 in 2005.
