Nordlys

Nordlys is a newspaper published in Tromsø, Norway.
Translated to English, its name means "Northern lights" also known as Aurora borealis. Bladet Nordlys is the largest newspaper by circulation in the northern part of Norway, with approx. 28,300 daily copies. The paper is known as "the regional paper up north". With several local competitors in Troms the editorial focus is mainly on news from this county. The paper also consists of articles and comments on regional issues like fish, tourism, petroleum and regional development. Its head office is located in Tromsø, with local offices in Bardufoss, Finnsnes and Storslett. The paper also have an extended cooperation with local newspapers as Fremover in Narvik, Finnmark Dagblad in Hammerfest and Finnmarken in Vadsø. The paper also owns the local TV-station TVTromsø. The chief editor since 2001 is Hans Kr. Amundsen.
