Norbert Beaver is a cartoon character designed by Mitch Schauer. He is one of the main characters in the animated Nickelodeon show The Angry Beavers.

Norbert Beaver lives with only his brother Daggett, after the two were kicked out of their parents house (after their mother had a new litter). His character is shown as the smarter, more mature of the two brothers. But he is a bit of an ego-freak. His trademark catchphrase is "BIIIIG Hug!" (which would then result in Norb giving Dag an unwanted hug.) Norbert is the oldest of his siblings (Daggett, Stacy, and Chelsea) and is the most laid back beaver in his family. He also is constantly (but intentionally) mis-pronouncing words.

- Treeflower - The love of Norbert's life whom he met at a hippie concert. She broke his heart when she fell in love with a truck driving shrew.
- Barry Bear - A disco loving bear that is one of Norberts best friends. An obvious parody of Barry White.
- Bing - An annoying tree lizard who hangs around Norbert and Daggett. Bing speaks extremely fast and often in circles. Norb seems to like Bing more than Daggett though, to quote Norb "Bing is not a bad guy, he just over-does it a little."
- Stump - A tree stump that doesn't talk or move, but everyone in the forest seems to like.

When it comes down to Norberts hobbies, you can see that he is very interested in music. He loves classical and jazz music, and he enjoys playing the piano. He also has been seen playing the French Horn.
Other than music, Norbert enjoys difficult, and tedious things. Like building large models made from toothpicks and toy train sets (See the Gift Hoarse episode).
Norbert is also an artist. In some episodes it has shown him painting pictures of landscapes and other things.

Norberts favorite B-Movie actor is Oxnard Montalvo. He loves to watch cheesy 50's Sci-Fi movies that star him. The movies are often about regular animals accidentally turned gigantic or the "Evil Crawling Spleen With an Opposable Thumb".
For television, Norbert like to watch infomercials, and is often buying useless rubbish from all of those toll-free numbers. Other than that, he likes to watch his favorite Mexican wrestler, El Grapadura (The Stapler). NOTE: El Grapaduras shows are not only wrestling shows, Norb watches Cooking with El Grapadura and even tries to make some of the recipes he learns from the show.
