NOPEC

NOPEC is an informal expression sometimes used to refer to the set oil exporting nations not in OPEC. At various times, mainly during times of supply crisis in the Middle East, this set of nations have reduced OPEC's power as a cartel. In 2005, NOPEC represented approximately 40% of petroleum exports. The most significant among these are Russia, Norway and Mexico.
