Non nobis solum (Latin: "Not for ourselves alone") is a Latin motto. Its meaning indicates an ideal of unselfishness, and of a betterment of the self in order to help others.
Appears in Cicero de officiis, 1:22 in the form non nobis solum nati sumus ("we are not born for ourselves alone").
A common variation is non nobis, sed omnibus ("not for us, but for everyone").
