Nokia 3100 is triband-GSM cellphone released 17.6.2003 in United States as a simple small phone becoming from Finland manufacturer Nokia.

Phone has a simple design covers, that was replaceble. Design has a small display and keypad.

Nokia 3100 is developed from earlier models Nokia 3510i and Nokia 7250i. It is a more easily model assigned for young and fluffy users. Phone is equipped with 128x128 passive colour display(4096 colors 12-bit), JAVA MIDP 2.0, XHTML and WAP browser, GPRS and POP-port connectivity and Li-ON baterry. Incomming calls alert is using MIDI polyphonic ringtones and vibrating alert.

Menu system

Nokia 3100 is using Nokia's Series 40 platform firmware that is solved with big static icons and context windows it is not very good solution for fast using but it is easy to use.

Menu has 14 entries:

1. Messages - multimedia and text messages editor 2. Call register - it records duration of calls and connections and used phone numbers 3. Phone book - pohne book with contacts editor 4. Profiles - profiles for warious situations(silent, loud, normal...) 5. Settings - all phone settings are stored here 6. Alarm clock - simple alarm clock 7. Gallery - small file manager you can store here images and ringtones 8. Calendar - calendar with notes and reminders 9. Games - directory for Java games and aplicatons 10. Aplications - directory for Java games and aplicatons 11. Extras - some extra tools like calculator, countdown timer or stopwatch 12. Services - WAP browser 13. Go to - settings for "Go to" menu, all most used functions are stored here as a shortcuts 14. SIM Toolkit menu - this contains information stored in SIM Card such as network bonus services or pay services

Phone can sent and receive text and multimedia messages with ringtones and images in BMP, JPEG, PNG and GIF formats. Phone don't have any voice recorder, radio receiver, mp3 player or camera.

This is one of the most popular Nokia phone in Europe and United States. In 2004 Nokia released the Nokia 3120 phone, it's diffrent form 3100 only with new covers and keypad.
