The Nokia 1600 is a modern addition to Nokia's Ultrabasic series of mobile phones released in 2006. The 1600 is designed for prepaid mobile service and is related to the Nokia 1100. It is carried by XE Mobile, Tracfone, 7-Eleven Speak Out Wireless, and other budget pre-paid services as well as some Latin American services.

These features are same for Nokia 1110i, but some features are different. In games, the last two bundled games are Soccer League and Cricket Cup. These games are not same from 1110i. Nokia 1600 offers themes—there have 20 colorful themes to choose from.
