Noizecore
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Noizecore (occasionally referred to as Noisecore, but that is more tightly associated with Grindcore) is a sub genre of electronic music typically defined by a very harsh sound. This often includes overdriving samples to the point that they are heavily clipped (See clipping) and incorporating a very fast beat into the track. Noizecore is a descendant of noise music and shares qualities with breakcore, terrorcore and occasionally, drill n bass. Often, tracks will include a lot of repetitive noise, which occasionally borders on white noise, due to the amount of distortion.
Noizecore artists are often considered underground and usually release material on independent record labels such as Planet Mu.
