[edit] About Noida Film City

The sprawling 100 acre Film City established by Sandeep Marwah way back in 1987, developed around its lush green landscape, sensuous locations including lakes, ponds, hills, the banks of the Yamuna river, Massoori village on the Ghaziabad Hapur stretch, bewitching gardens, the mighty toll road, the mud village, the native village of the five Pandavas, palaces, havellis, swimming pools, lush green golf clubs, multiple centers of temples, mosques, churches for spiritual and religious backdrops, all offering a wide range of choice for a number of diverse outdoor shooting requirements as much as its nearly 25 acres of indoor studios within.

Though just over a decade old, the Film City has been a host to a number of shootings for various feature films; both for the mainstream Bollywood cinema and for a large number of regional films made in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Kashmiri and other Indian languages.

For its proximity to the Door Darshan ( the Prasar Bharti transmission headquarters in the capital of the country ), besides a large number of private broadcasting and transmitting stations that have come up and set shops in the NCR region the Film City has also become the first automatic choice for shooting the largest number of Television serials, news and other entertainment cum education programs for various channels.

The Film City is also a gateway to Noida's twin brother Greater Noida; which has come up as an ultra modern industrial township evincing interest from large globally established MNC and other corporate houses promising international standards of life style at just a stone's throw. A large-scale activity in all these studios, outdoor locales provided by the Film City and the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida has already put it on the world map of filmmaking.

For the wide range of news, views and current affair programs being shot here, the Film City keeps inviting a host of top most politicians, bureaucrats and celebrities from practically every walk of life making it as a single most sought after hub center of VVIP visits including a large number of foreign delegations, film makers from abroad for their interest to study its success story and for exploring possibilities of working out various collaborative joint ventures and culture exchange programs with the like minded Indian media houses here.
