Noelia Soto

Noelia Carolina Soto Torres is a 22-year-old Argentine singer and former contestant and finalist of Latin American Idol's first season. After participating in the contest for almost three months, Noelia became the show's runner-up, following Venezuelan Mayré Martínez, who was voted by the audience to be the first Latin American Idol.

Noelia was born in Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut in the Argentine Patagonia. Before enrolling to participate in the show, she was studying to become a music teacher. Her passion for music started from a very tender age since her father, who also sings, encouraged her to pursue her dream. At the age of 15, she finally decided to begin a music career due to the fact that a well-know musician of her province, Fito Ferreira, told her that she could sing very well.

Noelia started her music career singing in pubs and restaurants before she finally became one of the ten final contestants of Latin American Idol.
