Noah Eli Gordon

Noah Eli Gordon is an American poet. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1975.

The Frequencies (Tougher Disguises, 2003); The Area of Sound Called the Subtone (Ahsahta, 2004); Inbox (BlazeVOX, 2006); A Fiddle Pulled from the Throat of a Sparrow (New Issues, 2007); and Novel Pictorial Noise (HarperCollins, 2007; selected by John Ashbery for the 2006 National Poetry Series). Gordon's poetry, essays, and reviews have appeared in dozens of journals, and his poems have been selected for awards by Robert Creeley, Carolyn Forche, David Shapiro, and Claudia Rankine among other notable American poets. Gordon also runs Braincase Press, a small edition chapbook imprint, publishing an array of younger American writers like Aaron Kunin, Jim Behrle, Dorothea Lasky, Eric Baus, and others. Gordon is also the author of many collaborations, including That We Come To A Consensus with Sara Veglahn (published by Ugly Duckling Presse, 2005) and Figures for a Darkroom Voice with Joshua Marie Wilkinson (published by Tarpaulin Sky Press, 2007).
