Noa Izumi

Noa Izumi (泉野明 - Izumi Noa) is the main character from the anime series "Mobile Police Patlabor".

As the pilot for the SV2's primary patlabor response team, the bubbly, perky, red-headed labor otaku from Hokkaidō, Japan, is usually the officer at the center of the action. Noa loves her labor much like a pet, and named it "Alphonse", a name previously held by both a pet dog and a pet cat she had while growing up. She's impulsive and doesn't usually think things through. However, Noa is much more cautious than her hotheaded teammate, Isao Ohta.

Arguably the best pilot in Division 2, Noa is only matched by Kanuka Clancy and Takeo Kumagami, who have both shown extreme talent in labor piloting. Noa's practice results show her to have a natural affinity for labors, and she normally gets 110% out of it, much to the amazement of her patlabor partner, Asuma Shinohara. She can drink quite a bit more than her coworkers and recovers from hangovers much faster, since her family has owned a liquor store since Noa was small.

After working with the SV2, Noa and Asuma went on to develop labors for production. Noa's talent for piloting and Asuma's vast technical knowledge make the two of them an invaluable team, both on or off the battlefield.
