No Naps

No Naps is episode 3b of the 6th season of the Nicktoons show, Rugrats. It first premiered on December 6, 1998.

Dil's excessive crying prevents Tommy from getting any sleep. Meanwhile, Stu gives Angelica one of his inventions, a ball with a music box on the top. The babies are amazed, but Angelica refuses to let them play with it because they aren't old enough. She challenges them to drink out of a sippy cup without the sippy top, which they cannot do. They appoint Tommy to do it, who falls back with the empty sippy cup out of fatigue, not spilling its contents. Angelica isn't impressed, so she challenges them to stay up through naptime. Most of the group is excited, but Tommy thinks he cannot do it because he is too tired. The group perseveres, however, and does their best to stay up. Angelica, impressed by the babies' ability to stay awake, force feeds them some food to help them nap. Phil eats in excess of 10 jars of baby food and immediately falls asleep. Tommy smells suspicion so he treks to the kitchen, and finds that Phil ate mashed peas. Chuckie concludes that Angelica was the only one who could have opened the baby food, and by the time they got back to the babies' playpen, Lil had fallen asleep. In order to stay awake, Tommy fetches his honky horn so that Chuckie can keep him awake, but Angelica grabs a mobile from Dil's crib and Chuckie falls asleep. Tommy manages to stay awake through Angelica's tricks, but Angelica soon finds herself tired and yawns. Tommy yawns too, and they both fall asleep. But, Tommy wakes up a moment later, only pretending, and drags out the ball to listen to the song. He then falls asleep.

After they wake up, they play around with the ball, and the babies ask Tommy how he stayed awake. Tommy remarks that Angelica yawned a little too big. Stu walks in and comments that he would have given the toy to Angelica, but it just put her to sleep.
